The boring information is that I’m a first year PGP student at IIM Calcutta.
The interesting part is when we get to talk about how benevolent I am, how I have uplifted many a bored internet surfer and saved a life or two. Unfortunately the story of my life in glorious technicolour is still being made – and words just cant do justice.
However from what people around me tell I am about a few kilos overweight and need to go out more and play better. But that does not prevent me from the occasional kick-about with mates. Other things that interest me include things mostly to do with the internet, Web 2.0 and computer software. This includes an interest in open source, a little bit of systems, a lot of interests in the semantic web and information mining.
Apart from the technical side, I like making presentations and talking about ideas and generally doing things that bore people. I’m keenly interested in graphic design – so I’m constantly looking for ways to make shorter and snappier presentations which do not involve me wearing suits.
Quizzing is another major interest and I would like to believe that I’m (was?) one of the “core” members of the Pune-based Boat Club Quiz Club. I’ve fortunately found like-minded friends here in the form of the IcQc, i.e. the IIM Calcutta Quiz Club.
